The weatherman has warned of heavy rainfall in Nairobi and seven other regions.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall in Nairobi, Western Kenya, Central highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, South-eastern lowlands, Coast, and North-eastern Kenya regions.

In a weather forecast report on Tuesday, November 5, Kenya Met disclosed that regions will experience heavy rainfall in the next three days.

However, the weatherman disclosed that the weather is likely to turn sunny and dry in many regions as from Friday, November 8.

"Rainfall is expected in Central Highlands, Nairobi, Western Kenya, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, South-eastern lowlands, Coast, and North-eastern Kenya. Isolated storms are likely in some areas," Kenya Met stated.

At the same time, the department intimated that daytime temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in several parts of the country for the next seven days.

"Average daytime (maximum) temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in several parts of the country including Northeastern and North-western Kenya," Kenya Met explained.

However, the weatherman stated that average nighttime temperatures will be less than 10°C over some parts of the highlands east of the Rift Valley and the Central Rift Valley.

Kenya Met disclosed that in the last forecast rainfall was recorded in the highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Southeastern lowlands, the Coast and North-eastern Kenya.

Similarly, during the period, daytime temperatures increased over many parts of the country, but some stations, including Marsabit, Nyahururu and Voi, recorded slight cooling.
