Hours after the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) suspended the licence of Super Metro, a section of Kenyans filmed the matatus still ferrying passengers across some city roads.
In the videos and photographs that were shared online on Thursday, March 20, the online users wondered whether the ban was still in force.
For instance, Journalist Shaddique Shaban filmed a Super Metro matatu with passengers along Mombasa Road.
"Which Super Metro? This one is in operation along Mombasa road at the moment," the journalist shared a video on his X page.
Other vehicles were also photographed along Thika Road.

Meanwhile, at the main stage in the CBD near Nairobi Archives, some Kenyans reported bee hive of activities.
Earlier, NTSA suspended the licence of the Sacco which has over 500 vehicles. NTSA attributed the ban to various non-compliance issues.
Some of the issues highlighted for some of the vehicles were expired licences and lack of speed limiter records.
On the other hand, traffic officers were advised to impound the vehicles even as Kenyans were encouraged not to board the vehicles until their licence is restored.
"Members of the public are cautioned against boarding vehicles belonging to Super Metro Limited. The Traffic Department is required to impound vehicles belonging to the Company found operating contrary to the suspension," NTSA advised.
