While issuing bursaries on Monday, Wamuchomba noted that she has disbursed Ksh 21,000,000 to day secondary schools in Githunguri.

The Githunguri lawmaker also announced that she has disbursed Ksh 9,4560,000 for 2,364 boarding school students.

Further, she said she has given full scholarships to 132 students, totaling Ksh 4,916,182.

Wamuchomba if following the footsteps of Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro’s Masomo Bora initiative, where all day secondary school learners will pay only Ksh1,000 per term and enjoy free meals six times a week.

In the program, each student in schools charging Ksh10,500 per year receives Ksh5,000, while pupils in schools charging Ksh12,000 per year receive Ksh7,000, leaving parents with a fee of about Ksh1,000 per term.
