Matiang'i made a special appeal to Kenyans during his inaugural political rallies in the Gusii region.

Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing'oei has shared in Fred Matiang'i's clarion call to Kenyans during his maiden political rally.

The former Interior Cabinet Secretary got a kingly reception during his first meet-the-people tour as he launched his presidential bid.

Matiang'i, while addressing his supporters at the Gusii Stadium, called on Kenyans to remain united despite the challenges the country is facing.

"I know when there are challenges in our country, such as we have now, and we have many challenges, let us not pretend; we have serious challenges. We can very easily be tempted to turn against or twist each other, beating each other, being divided, messing ourselves up, and destroying our country," he said.

The message was approved of by PS Sing'oei, who said any leader, irrespective of their political leanings, should preach unity.

Sing'oei shared his views on the X social network.

"Positive message. Leaders of every persuasion have a collective duty to unite the country," Sing'oei said.
