The retreat brings together Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, presidential advisers, and other senior state officials.

President William Ruto on Friday, June 20, presided over the second day of the 3rd National Executive Retreat held in Karen, Nairobi.

The retreat, which began on Thursday, June 19, features Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, presidential advisers, and other senior state officials.

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, and Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei are among top state officials in attendance.

One of the most notable attendees on Friday was ODM leader Raila Odinga.

According to Dennis Itumbi, who works under the Office of the President for Creative Economy and Special Projects, Odinga was present to address the senior ranks of the executive.

“Day two of the National Executive Retreat. Raila Odinga on location to address CSs, PSs, and other senior ranks holders.

"Strengthening delivery, the legislature's role in enabling the agenda, deepening Intergovernmental collaboration, Auditor General on enhancing accountability,” Itumbi stated.

Itumbi also noted that the retreat serves as a midterm review for the executive as it seeks to measure progress made since the Kenya Kwanza administration assumed office.

During Thursday’s opening session, Ruto urged executive members to elevate their efforts and remain focused on delivering transformative change for the country.

While commending them for progress in various sectors, he emphasized the weight of responsibility they hold.

"If we do not succeed and allow this country to slip back, we will have let this country down in a very profound way.

"That is why we must up our game. I know we are making strides in many areas. Miano here will tell us how we are pushing the tourism numbers, and we can feel it... Everyone is pulling their weight, and I just want to let you know that we are one team," he said.
