Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) leader Kalonzo Musyoka is set to leave the country for a high-profile 10-day visit to the United Kingdom.

In a statement on Tuesday, October 14, Wiper Secretary General Shakilla Abdalla said the trip marks an important milestone in Kalonzo’s ongoing outreach efforts ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Abdalla noted that the engagements lined up reflect the former Vice President's increasing domestic and international recognition.

"The visit, beginning on October 15, 2025, will see the WF Leader engage with high-profile institutions, policymakers, and members of the Kenyan diaspora in a series of events that underscore his growing international and domestic momentum ahead of Kenya's 2027 General Election," the statement read.

Abdalla noted that the visit goes beyond politics, focusing on building meaningful partnerships and fostering constructive dialogue on issues critical to Kenya’s development and democracy.

"The visit is part of continuing efforts to strengthen international partnerships, promote Kenya's global profile, and engage citizens abroad on matters of governance, economic empowerment, and national renewal," the statement added.

During his stay, Kalonzo will address key global forums, including the prestigious London Political Summit and Awards, where he is set to deliver the keynote address at the UK Parliament in Westminster.

He will also speak at Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs, and hold consultations with the Commonwealth Secretariat.

"The WPF Leader will deliver the keynote address at the London Political Summit and Awards, to be held at the UK Parliament, Westminster as well as speak at Chatham House - The Royal Institute of International Affairs and have a consultative meeting with the Commonwealth Secretariat," the statement further read.

Abdalla further revealed that Kalonzo’s itinerary includes a lecture at Oxford University and a town hall meeting with Kenyans living in the UK, aimed at engaging the diaspora in national discourse.

"In addition, the WPF Leader will deliver a special lecture at Oxford University, one of the world's foremost academic institutions and engage in a Townhall Meeting with the Kenyan diaspora under the theme 'The Kenya We Want'," the statement concluded.

This comes months after former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua cut short his tour in the United States and returned to the country.

In a statement on Thursday, August 14, Gachagua said he will join the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) in preparing for the upcoming by-elections.

"I regret being unable to visit the scheduled remaining States since I need to get back home to join our party, DCP, in preparation for the upcoming By-Elections in various parts of our country," he said.

The DCP party leader apologized to the organizers of his US tour and to Kenyans in the diaspora he had yet to meet, saying the remaining part of the tour has been rescheduled to 2026.

“I am sorry to cut my trip short; my profound apologies to the organizers and Kenyans whom I were to meet; the same has been rescheduled to early next year,” he stated.

Gachagua further stated that he will take a few days off to rest before returning to Kenya, adding that his itinerary will be made public.

“I thank the Kenyans in the States for the love, warmth, and hospitality they accorded to us. I salute the organizers and officials of the DCP chapters for superb planning, organization, and meticulous coordination,” he added.
