Mr Odinga was the only national leader who missed the event as he was hosting a delegation of elders from the Mt Kenya region at his rural home.
Former Presidential Candidate Peter Kenneth and Education CAS Kinuthia were at Mr Odinga's home.
Mr Odinga, Mama Ida and his brother Oburu Odinga were joined by Siaya Senator James Orengo and a number of leaders at their home for the meeting.
The ODM leader made details o the meeting through a social media.
"Muhammad Ali told us “Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.”
"We are seeing what Ali meant as Mama Ida and I host a delegation of elders from the Mt Kenya region," Mr Odinga wrote.
It is not yet clear whether Raila was invited for the national prayer event. On Friday, Mr Odinga was in Kisii County, Bobasi Constituency where he attended a funeral in Igare.
