Former Kenya Films and Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua has landed a new role.
Mutua who was sacked months ago is now the CEO of the Music Copyrights Society of Kenya.
He served as KFCB boss until August 2021 when he was shown the door.

The appointment was announced by MCSK Board Chairperson Lazarus Muli through a statement on Monday.
Muli said Mutua is the society's new boss effective Friday, March 25.
“Dr Mutua's appointment follows rigorous competitive interviews in which he emerged top among the candidates who were interviewed for the position,” said Muli.
He added: “We have the faith that his passion for excellence, as attested by his exemplary performance in the previous positions he has held, will help us to steer the MCSK to the next level".
Mutua on his part welcomed the appointment and said he is ready to work with musicians going forward.
"I have received with profound gratitude my appointment to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK). Happy to rejoin the creative industry, this time not as a regulator, but as a promoter and defender of the rights of musicians."
He added:"I look forward to working with the Board and relevant industry stakeholders to reinvigorate the music industry and make Kenyan music profitable through effective and efficient collection and distribution of royalties, by fighting piracy and promoting the rights of our musicians".
Mutua is a journalist by profession who has worked as a communication consultant and as a journalist as well.
He worked at Nation Media Group as a Sub Editor. He has also previously served as the Secretary-General of the Kenya Union of Journalists
Mutua holds a PhD in Communication Studies from Moi University, a Master's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Linguistics from Kenyatta University.
