Haji's home is guarded by two police officers. The officers are said to have been on duty but they did not hear anything.

Police are investigating an incident in which thieves broke into the house of the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji and went away with electronic items and his personal effects.

They made away with a TV set, a laptop, and assorted shoes.

The incident happened on Friday, August 4, 2022.

Reports indicate that the incident was discovered by one of Haji's sons. He was at home when the incident happened but could not hear anything also.

Nairobi Regional Police Commander James Mugera visited the scene and said they are in pursuit of the criminals. 

“They broke into the house but it seems no one heard it. We are talking to all workers and security who were present for more information,” he told a local daily.
