Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has opposed the decision by President William Ruto to revoke Kenya's recognition of the Sahrawi Democratic Republic (SADR) as an independent state.
Ahmednasir in a statement said the people of SADR have the right to be recognized.
"On this, I respectfully disagree with President William Ruto. The Sahrawi People of Western Sahara have the right of Peoples to self-determination," he tweeted.
"Morocco is a colonizing State."
The President in a Tweet on Wednesday, September 14, said that Kenya has resolved to rescind his decision to recognize SADR as a state.

The tweet has however been deleted with no clarification issued yet on whether the decision stands or not.
He cancelled the recognition after a meeting with an envoy from Morocco.
The envoy had brought a congratulatory message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
"Kenya rescinds its recognition of the SADR and initiates steps to wind down the entity’s presence in the country," Ruto said.
He said bilateral ties between Kenya and Morocco were being strengthened.
"Kenya is accelerating relations with Morocco in areas of trade, agriculture, health, tourism, and energy among others," he said.
He said he will initiate steps to wind down the entity's presence in Nairobi.
Further to the revoking, Ruto said Kenya supports the United Nations framework as the exclusive mechanism to find a lasting solution to the dispute over Western Sahara.
