He revealed his phone battery could not put up with the many calls from Kenyans.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has thanked Kenyans for the warm welcome they accorded him on his return from Canada.

Upon his touchdown at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), and subsequent appearance at State House Nairobi, Miguna made public his private phone number for engagements with Kenyans.

"The return to my MOTHERLAND yesterday was HISTORIC. I had a FANTASTIC first day and night. THANK YOU to all Kenyans who embraced and welcomed me back home. My new number is 075-707-7930. Apologies in advance if I don't respond to, or answer everyone's call/text. Viva!" He tweeted.

However, a day after making public his number, the lawyer has had to put up with many calls from Kenyans.

He revealed that his phone battery could not accommodate the unending calls that keep coming thick and first.

"It has been two days of exhilaration. I thank millions of Kenyans who have sent and are still sending short text messages and calling my new
@SafaricomPLC number until the phone battery can't cope. All your messages will be responded to no matter how long it will take me. Viva!" he said.

He had earlier detested being added to random Whatsapp groups.

"Please do not add me to WhatsApp groups without permission. I thank everyone sincerely for the overwhelming support. There is nothing sweeter than home!"

Miguna arrived in the country Thursday morning after four years and eight months of exile in Canada.

He arrived at JKIA International Airport at about 6am as he had anticipated.

After his arrival, he proceeded to Uhuru Gardens Where he attended the Mashujaa Day celebrations.

Miguna lauded Kenyans for exercising their rights on the August 9, elections and choosing the Kenya Kwanza administration to lead the country for the next five years.

"I must extend my gratitude to Kenyans who voted for the Kenya Kwanza government because that is central for me, without this administration, I would not be back home," he said while at Uhuru Gardens.
