Kenya Power has issued a statement following a nationwide power outage experienced in most parts of the country on Wednesday, November 2.
In the statement, KPLC mentioned that they experienced a system disturbance that saw a power outage in Nairobi, Mt. Kenya, and Coast regions.
Kenya Power stated that they were working with other players in the sector to restore power.
"At 11:09 am this morning, we lost power supply due to a system disturbance, affecting part of Nairobi, Coast, and Mt. Kenya regions.
"We are working in collaboration with other sector players, to restore the power supply as soon as possible," part of the statement read.

KPLC has promised to issue an update on the progress of power restoration.
Kenyans took to Twitter on Wednesday to air their grievances with most parts of the country being affected by the power outage.
A section of Kenyans questioned why KPLC had not alerted them of the nationwide blackout.
