Entrepreneurs in the Housing sector have an opportunity to attract investors and expand their business through an affordable housing accelerator that has been announced.

Business owners will be able to seek investor funding through the Young Ventures Accelerator Program in Affordable Housing Supported by GIZ.

In a statement issued on Thursday, May 12, the program will be run by Pangea Accelerator in partnership with Integration Consulting Group and Afroscope Consulting.

Pangea seeks to find, train and support 25 Entrepreneurs operating within a 70km radius of Nairobi Metropolitan.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs who join the Accelerator Program;

A. Nurture business owners through business and operational capacity building.

B. Mentorship.

C. Investor readiness, and linking to funding opportunities.

According to Pangea Accelerator, Investors want to invest in African businesses but are hesitant because they are not in a position to do due diligence or de-risk the businesses.

Pangea has been helping to do due diligence for investors and also mentor businesses into investor readiness, and to attract funding.

The program will seek to promote self-employment, and entrepreneurship in Kenya and is anchored on the need to provide solutions for housing, especially for the urban population whose growth is reported to be at 4%.

Architects, contractors, manufacturers, technicians, interior designers and any other business owners in the housing sector are encouraged to join this program by applying on Pangea Accelerator’s Website before 23rd May 2022.
