Former K24 news anchor Isabella Kituri has joined BBC Africa.
Reports indicate that the seasoned journalist has moved to BBC's Swahili broadcast division.
She will be charged will airing the media house’s Swahili news.
Her experience, talent and strong command of Swahili are believed to have been some of the key traits that landed her the job.
Joining BBC is a huge milestone for Kituri, as it will now expose her to the global scene, considering that BBC enjoys massive following across the continent.

Meanwhile, the move comes almost seven months after K24 sent 90% of its newsroom staff home.
Kituri was among the K24 employees sent home over what the company termed as redundancy.
Other senior newsroom staff who were affected include; Rose Gakuo, Fred Indimuli, Eric Njoka, Sam Njoroge, Karen Karimi, Nancy Onyancha, Caren Kibett, Shon Osimbo, Sara Adams, Joy Kariuki, Joab Mwaura and Tony Khwalanda.
"Hi, This is Robert from HR. I am contacting you with regards to the redundancy notice issued on 21st of May 2020. The notice period has expired. Unfortunately your position has been affected by way of redundancy. I would like to invite you to Emory hotel in Kileleshwa tomorrow, Monday 22 at 12.25pm to discuss what this means to your employment. When you get to the hotel kindly ask for me. We thank you for your indulgence and cooperation in this matter," the company's HR said in an SMS sent to staff during the termination exercise.
