Businessman Chris Kirubi in a recent interview with Churchill described marriage as enslavement, terming monogamy as a white man's ideology.

According to Kirubi, one has to be lucky to get a good wife. He is also of the view that having one wife was not the best way for Africa to handle its population.

He cautions that even though marriage is like serving a jail term, one should not walk in to test and dodge the union.

"There are some women, it is like they first went to the army before you marry them. They are always in fighting mode.

"It is luck. I if you are lucky, you get a good wife. God has to bless you. If you are not, you will regret and you are in jail," says Kirubi.

Kirubi said he believed marrying one wife was a foreign concept introduced by missionaries and worried if it's appropriate given the ratio of men.

To him, anyone who decided to settle down needed to be ready to be someone else's slave for life but has a soft spot for Ugandan ladies.

Kirubi argues that the moment one makes the decision to go into marriage divorce should never be an option urging young men to pray for luck in marriage.

Adds that Ugandan ladies make the best wives because of their respect and hospitality.

"A Ugandan woman will sit down and untie my shoe. She asks how was your journey, how your day was and the food is ready. When you want to go out, she is dressing you up to be ready," says Kirubi.

He added that; "they are very polite. You can never fight with them."
