President William Ruto has challenged the opposition to end the conversation on elections and instead champion the interests of the people.
Speaking on Sunday, April 16 during an Interdenominational prayer service, at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos County, Ruto said it was not fair that after elections politicians drag citizens back to issues relating to elections and leaders.
The President stated that Kenyans made their choice in a democratic process and were eager to see leaders deliver on their mandate.
"We cannot continue talking about leaders, it's time to talk and plan for development that will transform the lives of the people, " he said.

The Head of State appealed to leaders to unite and work together to confront challenges facing Kenyans.
"We must stand shoulder to shoulder so that we can plan and effect plans and programs that are going to transform our nation and change the lives of Kenyans, " he stated.
The President noted that the government is keen on addressing the water problem in the country.
President Ruto assured Ukambani residents that the government would complete stalled water projects in the region.
"Water is one of our priority programs, not just in Ukambani, but in the country," he said.
