In a statement, Kenya Railways explained that the suspension is temporary.
The move was taken after part of the railway line between Kisumu and Nakuru was destroyed by the ongoing heavy rains.
"We wish to notify members of the public that due to the heavy downpour that is being experienced countrywide, parts of our MGR track between Nakuru and Kisumu have been affected," the Railways corporation said.
The Kenya Railways said the temporary suspension will be on May 5 and 7.
