Suna East MP Junet Mohamed is up in arms against President William Ruto over his attack on the ODM leader Raila Odinga who had criticised him over petitions seeking the removal of four IEBC commissioners.
Ruto on Monday asked the opposition chief to allow parliament to perform its mandate and hold to account election officials who attempted to subvert the will of the people.
"The lords of impunity, who destroyed oversight institutions using the handshake fraud, should allow parliament to hold rogue officials who put the nation in danger by subverting the democratic will of the people to be held to account. The new order is the RULE of LAW not the wishes of big men," the President tweeted.
The four are Vice chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioners Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Nyang'aya are facing petitions for their removal from office.

But in a rejoinder, Junet has told of the president saying he is seeking to settle political score through the ouster of the four.
"A country experiencing unprecedented drought and hunger, millions of children out of school, millions of young people out of work, crimes surging in urban areas, your policy failures leading to the high cost of living, shouldn't waste public resources settling petty political scores," he tweeted.
He further said that Parliament which operates within the lawns of the State House cannot purport to be independent when discharging its mandate.
"Eti Parliament to hold people accountable. What a joke Bunge that operates from the lawns of the State House!! The foundation of impunity is Electoral fraud perpetuated by Chebukati and forming of the Ruto commission for 2027. In a few days coming the people of Kenya will make a decision," Junet added.
The ODM leader Raila Odinga has joined the debate in attacking the President.
He told him off over his comments saying he must allow the due process of the law.
"There is due process and natural justice, things aren't just done at the whims of the executive. The rule of law must prevail and not your jungle laws that you want to institute so as to subjugate Kenyans to a conveyor belt system of elections come 2027. We shall not relent," Rail replied to Ruto's tweet.
