There was jubilation on Monday, September 30, at the Jubilee Party Headquarters in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, after the High Court overturned the expulsion of David Murathe and Jeremiah Kioni.
In photos seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, a section of the party's members gathered at the party's headquarters and broke into song and dance following the ruling.
The former ruling party welcomed the ruling by High Court Judge Lady Justice Janet Mulwa, saying that it was a victory.
"Victory as High Court rules that Jubilee Party belongs to Uhuru Kenyatta. Justice Janet Mulwa also nullified the Kanini-Sabina-led NEC that purported to remove Jeremiah Kioni, David Murathe, and Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi,’’ read a statement by Jubilee party.

Murathe and Kioni served as the party's vice chairman and secretary general, respectively, before they were expelled.
Jubilee experienced wrangles previously after two factions emerged in the party.
One faction was led by nominated MP Sabina Chege and East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Kanini Kega, while the other faction was led by Kioni and Murathe.
Chege took over as interim leader of the party before the Kioni faction went to court to seek a reversal of the party's leadership.
However, in her ruling on Monday, September 30, Lady Justice Mulwa refused to hold Chege and Kioni in contempt for performing party functions.
