In the tea sector, he detailed that the country had sold tea worth Ksh220 billion in 2024.
Similarly, significant strides have been made in the coffee sector, with farmers of the major Kenyan exports being beneficiaries.
"Last year, tea crossed the Ksh200 billion mark. In fact, we sold tea worth Ksh220 billion for the first time. This is because we subsidized fertilizer for the KTDA and other tea makers.
"This year was the highest earnings of our coffee farmers. That speaks volumes of supporting farmers and products as opposed to subsidizing the consumption of how much difference it makes."
Meanwhile, he thanked development partners such as the African Development Bank (AfDB) for supporting government initiatives that were aimed at uplifting the lives of Kenyans.
