The photo of Morara at the Kisii rally has been shared in recent days following the current national tours that have been done by the President.

Lawyer Morara Kebaso has attributed the emergence of a photo of him at President William Ruto's rally to propaganda.

In a series of statements on his X page on Friday, May 9, Morara noted that the photo being circulated was taken some years back.

He denied reports that the photo was taken recently during Ruto's tours across the country.

On the other hand, he added that the photo was being used to undermine his candidature for the presidency.

"Propaganda and lies will not change the decision of the youth of Kenya to reject the corrupt government with its crooked opposition. I will be on the ballot running for president," he stated.

Notably, after his statements, some online users questioned why he was at the rally if he indeed believed that President William Ruto was not fit to lead the country.

"You're even clapping behind him," Boss Yator, an X user, posed.

"I am only one man among 7.1 million who believed in Ruto before he failed. If it is a disqualification for leadership, then 7.1 million of us are disqualified," Morara responded.

Some had alleged that the photo was taken during one of the tours amid allegations that Morara was being sponsored by the state.

However, the lawyer has maintained that he is independent and not being funded by anyone.

“Everybody has been called a project. I don’t know whether there is any upcoming leader who has not been called a project. They even call Maraga, a man of great honour and discipline, a project. He is incapable of even being a project in my own view,” he stated during a media interview.
