The power will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Kenya Power has announced a scheduled power interruption that will affect several areas in Nairobi and Nyandarua counties on Friday, June 13.

In a statement on Thursday, June 12, the company stated that the outage is part of planned maintenance.

In Nairobi County, the outage will affect the Mukuru Kwa Njenga and part of the Pipeline area. 

Specific locations expected to experience the disruption include Pipeline Estate, Jackmil Supermarket, Quick Mart Supermarket, PCEA Pipeline, Stage Mpya, part of Tassia Stage, Avenue Park 1 and 2 Estates, Kwa Kirima, Amazon, Pebble Hotel, and adjacent customers.

The power will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, in Nyandarua County, a wider section will be impacted by the maintenance exercise. 

Areas slated for the power cut include Engineer, Miharati, and Njambini. 

Affected areas include Engineer, Murungaru, Kinamba, Munyaka, Mike Eden, Yanga, Ndothua, Sasumua Dam, Kiboro, Ndunyu Njeru and Memo.

Ndinda, Mumui, Tigoni, Machinnery, Kabati, Foot Hill School, Mubau, Mukiri, Munyuini, and surrounding areas will also be affected during the same period.
