Makueni Woman Rep Rose Museo has called for the resignation of Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah as the National Assembly Majority Leader following remarks he made against Pastor Dorcas Gachagua.
Speaking on Thursday, July 25, Museo accused Ichung’wah of disrespecting not only Pastor Dorcas but also the entire country.
The Woman Rep noted that such behavior is unbecoming of someone holding such a senior parliamentary position.
"How can you stand and say such words, and you're a whole leader? This means President William Ruto gave the National Assembly Majority Leader position to the wrong person.
"You should resign from that Majority Leader seat because you have disrespected the entire country. We are not happy with you," she said.

Museo went on to criticize the broader political class, urging leaders to exercise caution and integrity in their public utterances.
"And it's not just him, it's all politicians; when we speak, we should say things we can be accountable for when asked a second time. Being given a seat by the people does not mean you've been given a license to insult others," she added.
Ichung’wah drew backlash after questioning former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s frequent public appearances with Pastor Dorcas, claiming that he was prioritizing politics over his marriage.
Speaking during a political event in Kajiado, the MP went further to claim that Pastor Dorcas has a secret affair with an unnamed Bishop.
In response, Pastor Dorcas defended her role as a supportive wife and emphasized the importance of strong family values.
"And as he supports me, I also support him, together with my children. There is nothing wrong with a husband being with his wife. That is the divine law," she said.
Pastor Dorcas went further to quote a scripture and reiterated that marriage was a sacred union ordained by God.
"And I don't know what anybody has a problem with, a husband moving with his wife. For Jehovah God says, they shall become one flesh. And they will be with each other, and they will be naked, and they will not feel ashamed.
"So what is the problem with me and my husband? There is nothing wrong with my husband being with me, and I being with my husband. That is the divine law. The other thing is that family values must be entrenched in our societies," she stated.
On claims that she is domineering and controlling her husband, Pastor Dorcas emphasized that their marriage is a partnership, built on mutual support in all aspects of life.
“How can you domineer a man like this? This man is causing a whole nation not to sleep? I will not stop loving my husband. I will not stop supporting him. I will not stop praying for him. I believe in his vision and his dreams, and I support that he talks the truth," she added.
