The summit brings together leaders from across the region under the theme, 'Leveraging Digitalization to Deepen Regional Value Chains for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth.'
Several key events will precede the main Summit, including the COMESA–EU Horticulture Connect scheduled for October 6–8, the COMESA Business Forum and Exhibition on October 7, and the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs on October 8.
These events are designed to provide a platform for dialogue on trade, investment, and regional integration, while also showcasing business opportunities within the bloc.
Kenya will assume the rotating chairmanship of COMESA from Burundi during the Summit.
The country’s leadership is expected to focus on promoting digital tools that enhance trade efficiency, strengthen regional value chains, and encourage sustainable economic growth across member states.
