The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced a series of high-profile job openings.
In a statement on Monday, October 13, FKF invited qualified candidates to apply for eleven key roles, including Chief Finance Officer, Commercial Director, National Grassroots Football Coordinator and Chief Security Officer.
Others are Events Officer, Legal Officer, Integrity Officer, Leagues and Competitions Officer, Secretary, Branch Liaison Officer, and Safeguarding Officer.
For the position of Chief Finance Officer (CFO), applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a Master’s degree considered an added advantage.
A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is mandatory, alongside at least ten years of progressive financial management experience, including five years in a senior leadership role.

The Commercial Director role requires candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline, with a Master’s degree as an advantage.
Applicants must have at least ten years of experience in commercial, sponsorship, or marketing roles, including a minimum of five years in senior management. .
The National Grassroots Football Coordinator position targets candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
Applicants must have at least five years of experience in football development, coaching, or youth sports management, with a background in grassroots program coordination and community engagement.
For the Chief Security Officer (CSO) position, FKF seeks a professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field. Candidates with certifications such as CISM or CPP will have an edge.
The successful applicant should have a minimum of ten years’ progressive experience in security management, including five years in a senior position.
Those with experience in the police, military, intelligence, or event security sectors are highly encouraged to apply, with familiarity with FIFA and CAF safety regulations being desirable.
The federation is also hiring an Events Officer, who must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related area.
Applicants should have at least five years of experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within sports or large-scale events.
For the Legal Officer position, candidates must have a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, and admission to the Bar as an Advocate of the High Court.
The position requires a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience, preferably in sports law, corporate law, or commercial law.
Familiarity with FIFA and CAF statutes, CAS procedures, and sports governance frameworks is highly desirable, alongside experience in contracts, compliance, and dispute resolution.
The Integrity Officer role calls for a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminology, Sports Management, or a related discipline.
Applicants with professional training or certification in compliance, integrity, or safeguarding will have an added advantage.
A minimum of seven years’ experience in investigations, compliance, legal, or integrity-related roles is required.
For the Leagues and Competitions Officer position, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
At least five years of experience in football administration, competition management, or event coordination is required.
Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with FIFA and CAF competition regulations and experience working with clubs, referees, and football stakeholders.
The Branch Liaison Officer position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field.
Candidates must have three to five years of experience in sports administration, stakeholder relations, or program coordination.
For the Secretary position, FKF is seeking individuals with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related area.
Applicants should have at least two years of experience in administrative support, preferably within sports, NGOs, or project-based environments.
The Safeguarding Officer role requires candidates with a degree, diploma, or certificate in Child Protection, Social Work, or a related field, along with training or certification in safeguarding.
Applicants must have at least three years of experience in child protection or youth safeguarding and possess a valid Safeguarding Certificate.
