Deputy President William Ruto and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi are set to take a break from politics to travel the US and UK.
The two were cleared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to fly to the US and UK on Sunday, February 27. The tour will last for 12 days.
The two leaders will grace the Carnegie African Conversations on politics and Policy which will be held in Georgia University on March 2.
The meeting will be presided over by Karen Bass, the chair of the US House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights.
On March 4, the leaders will visit Mt. Calvary Baptist in Washington DC. where they are expected to meet Kenyans living in the U.S
They will use the meeting to sell their bottom-up economic agenda and also rally the Kenyans to back their camp.
Thereafter they will fly to the United Kingdom to deliver speeches at the King College where they are invited as guests.
The Deputy President and the ANC leader will be expected to be back in Kenya after the UK tour is done.
This is the first time Ruto will be out of the country for a long time.
A fortnight ago, he left the country for Dubai, a tour that took about 3 days.
Ruto who holding several rallies will need the services of his allies to continue with campaigns across the country.
The return of the DP will come a few days to the UDA party NDC that is expected to officially hand him the UDA party Presidential ticket.
Mudavadi expressed willingness to work with the DP on January 23, during his NDC party NDC at the Bomas of Kenya.
Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula also joined the camp leading to the formation of Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
