Azimio la Umoja has yet again suffered a major blow after Movement for Democracy and Growth joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

The MDG signed the agreement with President-elect William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza at his Karen residence on Friday.

Led by the party leader David Ochieng, the MDG leaders said they will work with Ruto to deliver development to the people of Kenya.

While addressing a  press conference, the group of leaders said they will be working together with the leaders going forward even as they called out the ODM leader Raila Odinga over his petition at the Supreme Court.

Ochieng said the August 9, elections were free and fair adding that the petition filed at Supreme Court holds no water.

He said it is impossible for a country to have accepted results across all seats only for one to claim the presidential results are not credible.

"Many Kenyans are concerned about the cost of living. Many are waiting for when they will be able to access cheap Unga. I know of so many Kenyans whose sense of justice is having their children go to school without paying fees. There are Kenyans whose sense of justice is about jobs. All of us our sense of justice cannot be about the petition," he said.

The group noted that they are keen on moving Kenya forward since most of them are tired with matters concerning elections.

Ruto on his part welcomed the party to Kenya Kwanza saying he was ready to work with them in delivering development.

He said they began consultation a few weeks ago and they have signed a deal this Friday to work together going forward.
