Health CS Susan Nakhumicha has revealed that she was part and parcel of the process that saw Health PS Josephine Mburu sacked altogether with the entire board of Kenya Medical Supplies Authority board including its chair Daniel Rono.
Addressing the media after the sack, Nakhumicha said she diligently performed her role as the principal advisor of the president in the health ministry.
She said the decision made on Monday was done after thorough consultations with the Head of the State.
"I have been involved in the decision that has been made today (Monday). To the best of my knowledge, I have advised the President as his principal advisor," the CS said.
Nakhumicha appeared to put a blaming finger on the sacked PS after saying she is the accounting officer of the state department who ought to have streamlined operations.

"Principal Secretaries are the accounting officers of the ministry. It is expected that in their day-to-day, they will interact with the institutions when it comes to such matters," she said.
CS Nakhumicha assured Kenyans that she will do whatever it takes to sweep clean the health ministry and ensure that it is devoid of corruption.
She said she will do whatever it takes to ensure Kenyans get value for their money.
The mass sacking at the Kemsa board came a day after the president pledged to take action and ensure the authority is streamlined.
"I am doing something about it. You will see results. I want to give you my commitment, I will clean up KEMSA, whatever it takes, whatever it costs," he said.
He spoke during a round table meeting with members of the press on Sunday at State House, Nairobi.
