Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi urged Kenyans to ignore social media criticism of the government and its initiatives.
Speaking during a church service at AIC Pioneer in Eldoret on Sunday, December 8, the MP dismissed critics of the Social Health Authority (SHA) health cover terming them as fake people.
“A lot of people are speaking without full knowledge of what the ordinary Kenyan is going through. We, who hold medical bill fundraisers, are the ones who know what we’re talking about. You have elected us to be your leaders, those speaking on social media, let us fail if we will, but follow our policies first.
"You will deal with us if we fail. Don’t listen to the criticism on social media. Those people online are fake know-it-alls. The other time, others who were abroad were inciting others doing the Gen-Z protests to burn down the country so that we can start afresh," he said.

Sudi has been at the forefront of defending the government and President William Ruto.
On November 29, 2024, the MP defended President Ruto and other politicians for donating, expressing that it was not the politicians' fault for participating in harambees.
Sudi explained that local church leaders are the ones who approach them to assist in raising funds for various projects.
"Those local pastors and believers are the ones who make contributions until some of them run away because they have to contribute every Sunday. I wonder why someone would oppose help being offered in the local churches," je remarked.
Additionally, Sudi noted that politicians would continue giving to the church as they are also part of the body of Christ.
He also called on the church leaders to forgive them for any wrongdoings, further calling upon them to guide the current political leadership where necessary.
"I can see that the Bishops are unhappy and they now want to refund the money donated to the church. I want to ask for forgiveness because sometimes we go straight to the local churches without going through them," he stated.
