Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has continued to sustain his onslaught on President William Ruto, who he now says is intolerant of dissenting voices.
He linked the state to an incident where his meeting in Nyandarua was disrupted by a teargas incident.
On Saturday, December 28, Gachagua joined other Mt Kenya leaders allied to him at the Shamata grounds for a Thanksgiving Prayer Service.
All was smooth during the event until politicians started taking to the podium to address the attendees.
It was in the midst of Nyandarua senator John Methu's speech that a canister was launched, prompting the scared crowd to scamper out.

Reacting to the events, Gachagua claimed a police officer was sent to disrupt the meeting.'
"Without any provocation whatsoever, a uniformed Inspector of Police gave a teargas canister to an officer in plain clothes to throw into a VIP tent, causing panic and commotion. This was despite the fact that the prayers were peaceful and everyone was calm," he said.
He suggested that the incident was a command from the president, who he claimed does not want to be criticised.
Gachagua stated that despite the alleged brute by the police, he would continue to lead the dissenting voices.
"To President Ruto, no amount of intimidation or violence will stop the Kenyan people from criticizing you, demanding good governance and accountability, or asking you to respect democracy and the rule of law," he said.
