Several people are feared dead after a four-story building caught fire in the Stage 2 area of Congo, Kawangware, Nairobi County.
The inferno broke out around 11 P.M. on Saturday, June 14, and is suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault.
Photos and videos of the incident seen by nairobileo.co.ke showed a massive fire on the building, with Kawangware locals calling for emergency response teams to put out the inferno.
A woman can be heard crying out for help, revealing that her neighbor was trapped inside the building during the inferno.

By the time of publishing this article was published, the authorities had not yet issued a statement on the Kawangware fire incident.
This comes weeks after five people lost their lives following a fire incident in Mathare slums in Nairobi.
The victims, who include three adults and two children, were sleeping when the fire broke out and killed them.
Nairobi Police Commander George Sedah said the inferno started from one of the iron sheet structures in the slums before it spread to the others.
“We understand the victims were sleeping when the fire broke out, killing five of them. Four others are in the hospital with serious injuries,” Sedah stated.
The fire also flattened at least eight iron sheet homes and two churches, leaving several families without shelter.
