Soy MP Caleb Kositany has broken his silence after his campaign vehicle caught fire on Saturday, January 22.
Videos shared on social media showed the burning vehicle abandoned by the roadside as curious onlookers watched from a distance.
In a brief statement on his Twitter page, the MP explained that the vehicle caught fire due to a faulty generator, further thanking firefighters for containing the fire on time.
"My public address vehicle caught fire today, due to a faulty generator. Every body is safe, thanks to the Eldoret Airport fire brigade and Uasin Gishu county fire department. We thank God," Kositany wrote.
The generator and the speakers atop the vehicle burnt completely.
