Roots Party running mate Justina Wamae has confirmed that his party leader George Wajackoyah is supporting Azimio la Umoja One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Wednesday, August 3, Wamae noted that she had not been consulted by Wajackoyah adding that they had not reached a conclusion as a party on who to support as a party.
"It is true the allegations that my party leader Prof. George Wajackoyah is supporting Azimio, but we have not discussed that as a party; we have not agreed, and neither have I been consulted.
"However, let me make it clear that if push comes to shove and we need to take a stand on who to support out of the other three presidential candidates who are our worthy opponents, then I will support the contrary," Wamae told Citizen.

This comes hours after a viral video of Wajackoyah endorsing Odinga while in a club.
"Because of that, man (Raila). The man whose tears come out every day because of what happened to him in jail, including me. I am here to join liberators. And the person I look at, the person who makes me stand here is none other than Raila Odinga," Wajackoya stated.
However, a few hours later, through his spokesman Jaymo Ule Msee, the Roots party presidential candidate denied endorsing Odinga, claiming that the video was taken out of context.
"Whereas our party leader addressed his supporters and accorded the other three presidential candidates some level of respect, the biased media has doctored the clip to suit and push their candidate, Raila Odinga.
"We would like to state categorically that we have a presidential candidate who is on the ballot and will win this election. We have not and will not endorse any other candidate," the statement read in part.
