The Kenya Revenue Authority has deployed Revenue Service Assistants to help with the discharge of services to Kenyans.
1,405 Revenue Service Assistants (RSA) graduated in August 2023 from the Recruits Training College in Eldoret, where they had undergone a two-month training.
KRA in a notice noted that the RSA will help in supporting Kenyans with their tax compliance needs.
"Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) informs the public that it has rolled out a Revenue Service Assistants (RSAs) program whose mandate is to support taxpayers with their compliance needs," the notice reads.
"The RSAs will provide on-site facilitation to taxpayers, which will involve physical visits to taxpayer premises within the country."

Their key roles will be to facilitate online registration of trading businesses, verify taxpayer details, and support compliance with TIMS/eTIMS regulations.
Other mandates will be to support compliance with excise regulations and conduct data collection exercises.
Kenyans have been asked to interact freely with RSA to ensure their needs are addressed promptly.
The RSA will have a KRA staff identification budget and will wear a uniform to ease the identification process.
"Additionally, the public can authenticate the staff details through USSD *572#, or use KRA Thibitisha which is available on the KRA website: www.kra.go.ke or through the KRA Mservice App," the notice further said.
