Former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has declined a state job offered to him by President William Ruto.
Via a gazette notice published on Friday, January 17, Ruto announced appointing Bosier, who currently serves as the ODM party national treasurer, as the non-executive chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).

On Saturday, January 18, Bosire said he had a consultation with leaders, family and friends and realised the decision to turn down the appointment.

He however expressed his gratitude to the president for having confidence in him and entrusting him with the position.
Bosire's would not be the first instance in which an appointee declines Ruto's job offer.
In October last year, former Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka rejected his appointment to serve as chairman of the Kenya Animal Genetic Resource Centre (KAGRC), citing the political happenings in the country at that time.
In the same month, former Nairobi woman representative aspirant Millicent Omanga declined her appointment as a member of the Nairobi Rivers Commission for a period of three years.
Omanga said personal reasons prompted her to decline the appointment.
