The total number of registered voters now stands at 22,120,458, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati has announced.
Chebukati was addressing the press on Monday, June 20 while unveiling the register after audit by KPMG.
"KPMG carried out an assessment on the inclusiveness of the register of voters with regards to gender, age, persons living with disabilities (PWDs), and geographic distribution.
"The following statistics were obtained from this assessment; women represent 49.12%, while men 50.88%. The number of youth 18-34 years old registered to vote in 2022 stands at 39.84% which is a decline of 5.27% against the 2017 register. The enrollment of PWD stands at 18.94% of the eligible voting population. Registration of Kenyans living in diaspora constitutes 0.05%," Chebukati said.

IEBC also announced that 46,232 polling stations will be used in the August general election.
In addition, IEBC said the issue of multiple registration using both IDs and Passports emerged from the audit report and had resolved 70% of the multiple registration cases.
The electoral body will certify and publish the Register of Voters vide gazette notice. Each polling station will have the register of voters pinned outside seven days to the election.
