ATC Kenya, a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure, has joined forces with ProFuturo Foundation, an educational innovation initiative created by the Telefónica Foundation and the “la Caixa” Foundation, to advance digital learning in Kenya.
The collaboration has already enabled the distribution of tablets to 30 schools in Nairobi and Machakos counties.
The initiative has now been extended to include 11 additional schools in Kitui County.
Over the next three years, the partnership between ATC Kenya and ProFuturo Foundation is set to benefit more than 11,000 students and 470 teachers directly.
The project is being implemented with the support of two local organizations, Don Bosco Development Outreach Network (DBDON) and the Diocese of Kitui.
Notably, ATC Kenya’s commitment to digital transformation is reflected in its Digital Communities program, which provides technology-equipped spaces for digital literacy, vocational training, financial education, and healthcare services.
By distributing these devices, ATC Kenya and ProFuturo Foundation are helping to bridge educational gaps, equipping students with essential digital skills and paving the way for greater learning opportunities.

On her part, ProFuturo Foundation General Manager Magdalena Brier highlighted the significance of the alliance, saying;

In addition to enhancing digital literacy, this partnership will help reduce educational inequalities by equipping schools with high-quality tablets.
Pre-installed with educational applications and resources, these devices will enhance classroom learning, support interactive teaching, and give students access to a vast digital knowledge base.
