Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has hit out at his political rivals while showing off his latest investment.
Following his impeachment in December 2020, the former county boss took some time off the public before getting into business and launched Volume VIP Club in Shanzu, Mombasa county.
In an update on Monday, February 7, Sonko shared photos alongside a number of revellers, maintaining that there is life aside from politics.
The former Makadara MP also attributed the growth of his nightclub to God.
"Those who thought politics ni kila kitu ni bure kabisa. Kazi ni kazi hebu oneni how God is faithful. Yani the devil closes one door for you and God immediately opens another one and life goes on as usual

"Just keep on believing in him. I hereby also wish to appreciate all our customers for supporting us in a very big way. Enjoy the rest of your day," Sonko wrote on Twitter.
In a video on his social media platforms, Sonko mentioned that the club sits on one acre of land and is big enough to accommodate 15,000 revellers with an allowance for up to 150 vehicles on its parking lot.
“We wanted Mombasa people and visitors to have a feel of what is to come. We have not yet set the official opening date, but it will be big," Sonko said.
The former county boss also mentioned that the club's dancefloor is not stationary as it will be moving in certain ways as revellers dance the night away.
“It has been constructed in such a way that it will be giving off a feeling like you are in a lift. There will be slight movement up and down because it has been made with a new technology that has never been used before," Sonko said.
Other businesses owned by Sonko include Sonko Family Resort, Salama Maridadi Beach Hotel in Kilifi and Casuarina Bar and Restaurant in Buru Buru, Nairobi.
